Kindergarten

Vocal music in Kindergarten focuses on using the expressive elements of music, participating with music from everyday life and various cultures, and responding to the elements of music and performances.

First graders in vocal music begin to perceive the expressive qualities of  music, recognize different musical cultures and styles, and describe musical elements and performances.
