The Planning and Construction Department manages activities related to the Capital Improvements Program for the school system. These activities include the preparation and implementation of the annual State and Local Capital budgets, the planning and administration of school construction projects, maintenance of school facility records, and the purchase and movement of portable classrooms.

Status of Current Projects

The Department of Planning and Construction manages a six-year capital program which includes systemic renovations, additions, new construction, school modernizations, and the purchase and movement of portable classrooms. Reports are provided to advise the Board on current and timely issues and as an overview of the program status.
