AMANDA KOSS

Amanda is a graduate of North Harford Elementary School, North Harford Middle School, and North Harford High School.  After earning her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Salisbury University in Salisbury, Maryland she returned to Harford County to teach fourth grade at Prospect Mill Elementary School.  After three years at Prospect Mill, she transferred to Harford Glen in 2003.

Being a camper at Harford Glen in the fifth grade and a counselor twice in high school prepared her for her teaching career.  While student teaching outside of Auckland, New Zealand, Amanda planned and ran the residential environmental science experience for all of the year 5/6 students. She also worked as a day camp counselor in Berlin, Maryland for two summers in college.

Amanda is certified in Elementary Education.  She holds a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Elementary Science from Towson University and has completed a variety of courses and workshops in the field of environmental education.  She is on the Earth Day Committee and organizes the exhibitors for the event.
