STEM and Beyond Nights Scheduled at Edgewood, Fallston, & Patterson Mill middle schools in Feb
The primary goal for STEM and Beyond Nights is to excite and engage fourth, fifth, and sixth grades in STEM programs as they begin their middle school years.  Schools will host an evening of hands-on activities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.  Students register for a variety of interactive workshops, where they will meet with scientists, participate in experiments, and visit with high school and college students pursuing STEM careers.  Additionally, an exhibit hall will be available to broaden family awareness about school and community resources, programs, and activities that students can attend year round.  Over the past three years, each middle school community in Harford and Cecil Counties has participated in this type event, which is organized by a group of volunteers from education, government, and private industry.  Save the date for The STEM and Beyond Nights:  Fallston Middle on February 4, Edgewood Middle on February 11, and Patterson Mill Middle on February 25.  More information about these events will be distributed through each of the participating elementary and middle schools.
