Aberdeen High student sells artwork
Anthony Maskiewicz, a senior at Aberdeen High School, sold a piece of his artwork to Mrs. Tracy Rickmers (pictured left below), switchboard operator at the A.A. Roberty Building. Mrs. Rickmers saw Anthony’s work, a gelatin silver print of the front end of a 1950’s Buick, displayed at the Countywide II Exhibit at the A.A. Roberty Building and decided to purchase it as a birthday gift for her son who will be attending an Automotive Technology program in York, Pennsylvania. Anthony is a student in Mrs. Donna Livingston-Smith’s Advanced Photography and AP Studio Art: 2D Design classes. The photograph was taken as part of assignments related to finding items in a home scavenger hunt and depicting detail.
