Two Aberdeen High students to perform in 2015 All-National Choir
Kelly Pysh, of Bel Air, and Lisa Broadhurst, of Aberdeen, both 12th graders from Aberdeen High School, have been selected to the National Association for Music Education’s (NAfME) 2015 All-National Choir.  The two will be traveling to Nashville, Tennessee in late October to perform with other top-notched high school singers from throughout the United States and US military base schools overseas.

The screening process began with the girls auditioning for and being selected to Maryland’s All-State Ensembles a year ago.  They later had to submit a video audition to NAfME’s headquarters in Virginia in April.  Students selected for this honor learned of their acceptance in June and have been preparing for the event ever since.

Only eight vocal students were accepted from the state of Maryland, and Kelly and Lisa were two of them.  They are the only students from Harford County to be accepted this year, as well as the third and fourth students to ever be accepted in our county’s history.

Kelly and Lisa are both incredibly excited for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and we are proud of their achievement!
