2016-17 Curriculum Activities Awards Reception held May 11
The 2016-17 Curriculum Activities Awards Reception was held on May 11, 2017. The purpose of this program is to promote excellence in instruction by applauding professional performance and accomplishments. Each year, teachers can submit original unit plans, professional development or community involvement projects, innovation in the classroom projects, or a schoolwide initiative plan designed to enhance student achievement. Many entries were submitted for review this year; congratulations to this year’s winners! 

The following educators received a monetary award for their outstanding entries: 
  • Kathleen Thompson, Amy Harbaugh, and Michelle Carlson – Joppatowne Elementary and Ring Factory Elementary – for The Language of Lessons with Dr. Seuss
  • Debbie Robinson, Danielle Still, Nicole Berardi, Jean Burnham, Dawn Johnson, and Erin Van Nostrand – Church Creek Elementary – for Novel Study: The One and Only Ivan
