Beautiful new rock garden at Prospect Mill Elementary School

Prospect Mill Elementary School has a beautiful new rock garden, thanks to the artwork created by students and staff members. The project was inspired by the book Only One You by Linda Kranz, which tells the story of Adri, a young fish. As Adri is learning to make his way in the great big world, his parents give him advice about being kind, making smart choices, and being himself.

All students and staff members at Prospect Mill were able to enjoy this inspiring story, and then painted their very own unique “fish rock,” which was then placed in the garden. The project was a joint effort among several groups, including the Prospect Mill PTA, family members, administration and staff members, community businesses, and the students enrolled in the Harford Technical High School Landscape program.

The students and teachers at Harford Tech helped design and build the structure, which displays the artwork in the form of a meandering river through the gardens. Visitors to the school are now greeted by this colorful representation of the unique individuals that are part of the Prospect Mill family.

Awesome work, Prospect Mill!!!
