Meet the
Special Area Teachers

Mrs.
Erin Traub is our NEW media specialist here
at Norrisville! She has taught for eight
years in the classroom at Emmorton
Elementary, teaching grades one, three, and
four! This is her first year at Norrisville!
Mrs. Traub has two children, a five-year old
and a three-year old! Her oldest daughter
just started kindergarten! Mrs. Traub enjoys
reading, scrapbooking, and cooking when she
is not in the media center! We are so
excited to have her join the Norrisville
community! |

Mrs.
Kristen Engelke is our instrumental teacher for grades four and five and
our general music teacher for grades three, four, and five. This is Mrs.
Engelke’s seventh year of teaching, all of which have been at Norrisville.
Her husband Luis is a professional trumpet player. She recently had a
little boy named David who is the “light of her life.” Mrs. Engelke
enjoys reading, hiking, gardening, and being outdoors. Words of wisdom:
“Music is a great way to exercise your mind, body, and spirit.” |

Mrs.
Lyndsay Davies is our vocal music teacher for grades kindergarten
through two and our chorus teacher for grades four and five. Mrs. Davies
has spent the past nine years teaching, four of which have been at
Norrisville. She lives with her husband Jay and they are eagerly
expecting their first baby at the beginning
of March! She enjoys reading, cooking,
gardening, and, of course, anything musical! |

Mrs. Arlene
Haskins is our string orchestra teacher. She has been teaching for the
past thirty-six years and the past fifteen have been at Norrisville.
Her husband Patrick is a financial advisor and they have been married
for twenty-four years. Her oldest son Alex is in grad school at Virginia
Commonwealth University, with a three-year doctoral majoring in physical
therapy. Her youngest son Spencer is in a five-year accelerated Master's
program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University majoring in Aerospace
Engineering. Mrs. Haskins loves gardening, birdwatching, and hiking. She
also loves watching sports, especially football, soccer, and lacrosse.
But most importantly, she loves anything having to do with MUSIC! |

Mrs. Sue Havran is
our art teacher. She has been teaching for
15 years and has been at Norrisville for all
15 of those years! She has been married for
30 years to her husband John and they have a
a son and daughter. Her son is married and
is a professor of plant biology and her
daughter is stationed in Germany with her
newlywed husband. In her free time, Mrs.
Havran enjoys painting, gardening flowers
and herbs, quilting, cooking, traveling, and
reading mysteries! |

Mrs. Missie Berrell
is our physical education teacher. She has
been teaching P.E. for the past ten years!
This is her second year at Norrisville
Elementary. She has been married to a great
guy - Win - for the past 16 years! They have
three super kids; Hannah who is 13, Ellie
who is 12, and Win who is 10. Her hobbies
include coaching - her husband says that she
is a "Coach Junkie!" |
