Trombone
The trombone is the only member of the brass family that does not use valves to play different notes. Instead, a player uses the slide to make different sounds, along with proper lip placement. Trombones are found in concert bands, concert orchestras, and jazz ensembles. One of the most famous trombone players is Glenn Miller, founder of the great swing band, the Glenn Miller Orchestra.
