School Structure:

YBES has established a modified block schedule to provide for differentiated instruction and to more thoroughly address our childrenís diverse learning styles.

About our School:
Youth's Benefit Elementary School Mascot

Welcome to Youth’s Benefit Elementary! We cordially invite you to visit and to witness the exemplary teaching and learning which takes place daily in our vibrant school community. In cooperation with our larger school family, we work to meet successfully the needs of all our students. We are proud of the high level of excellence that is demonstrated each day by our faculty, staff, and students. Our extraordinary parent community’s contributions and participation are visibly evident.

Our school goals are designed to increase the overall level of children’s performance in reading and mathematics. In addition, students will demonstrate meaningful use of technology by becoming proficient in keyboarding skills. Our character education program provides effective student involvement targeted at developing good character in our children.

The school’s PTSA works in partnership with the school’s administration to develop programs that bring pride to our school community. Together we provide an exciting and engaging learning environment. Come join us!

Community Involvement:

On a daily basis, the community's participation in YBESís instructional and enrichment activities is clearly evident. The school's PTA works in partnership with the school's administration to develop a program that brings pride to our community. Along with the school staff, the PTA makes many parent education opportunities possible; takes an active role in legislative issues that impact children and schools; and works to provide extra resources to enhance the learning experiences available to the children at YBES.

The YBES Volunteer Program makes a positive contribution to the school each day. They make instructional enhancements possible in nearly every classroom. The YBES Educational Foundation group has become a major player in the educational programs available to the children of our community. Its mission is to "enhance the educational experience of each YBES student by effectively channeling resources of the community to the school." All this is why YBES strives to be a source of pride to its community, and, in turn, enjoys the community's support. The Parent Advisory Committee advocates the needs and concerns of the school community.
