About our School:
Bel Air Elementary School Mascot

Bel Air Elementary is located in the heart of Bel Air, Maryland. For more than 80 years, it has provided high quality education for children living in the area. A dedicated school community, including school staff, parents, and local businesses, work together to provide a safe learning environment where all students can learn.

There are many different programs at Bel Air Elementary designed to meet the needs and interests of children. The enrichment programs such as the Student Government Association that helps the students build an understanding of the foundations of democracy along with performing community service projects. Additional programs include a Meteorology Club, Science Club, Geography Club, and Chess Club. Students also have opportunities to develop their talents in music, art, technology, and physical education.

Our parent volunteer programs are second to none. Volunteers support every facet of the school program including the Bel Air Reading Tutors (BART) program for reading support, the cafeteria, the classrooms, the clubs, and many activities that take place during the year. The PTA works in concert with staff to vigorously support all school programs and provides additional resources to aid teachers and students.

We are proud of our heritage and achievements at Bel Air Elementary and continue to challenge ourselves to reach the highest possible standards of educational achievement for all students.

Community Involvement:

BAES is truly a community school. An active PTA vigorously supports all school programs including band, chorus, and orchestra. Parents provide encouragement and support for activities such as concerts. Parents volunteer in the media center, office, and classrooms.
