About our School:

Restoration Academy High Charter School will offer the same comprehensive high school program currently offered at all Harford County High Schools. The high school academic program will focus on seven cornerstone strategies linked to successful high school programs across this nation. These seven cornerstone strategies will create the foundation for improving the performance of each student and fostering the development of a high school culture accentuating the Three R's of public education today. Restoration Academy High Charter School is a visionary school, rich with energy and enthusiasm, and high expectations promoting self worth and dignity for all students. We infuse knowledge, understanding, acceptance and appreciation of our individual differences through curriculum and extracurricular activities. Our hope and vision for your student is to make the Restoration Academy years the best years of their young lives with the promise of a bright and rewarding future! The seven cornerstone strategies are as follows:

  1. We will focus on disseminating the foundational knowledge every high school student will need to be successful in their post secondary career choice.
  2. We will personalize student planning by implementing a comprehensive advisory program which will help to ensure each student to have frequent and meaningful opportunities to plan and assess their academic and social progress with faculty, staff, and administration.
  3. We will promote and encourage acceptance and individuality by teachers utilizing a variety of instructional strategies and assessments to accommodate individual learning styles and preferences.
  4. We will incorporate flexible use of time by implementing differentiating schedules to accommodate a wide range of teaching strategies consistent with the ways students learn most effectively allowing for effective teacher teaming, lesson and unit planning, and meaningful dialogue and contact with students.
  5. We will make connections with students by increasing the quantity and quality of interactions between other students, teachers, and school personnel. We will also work on establishing strong lines of communication between school and family which will foster goodwill and openness.
  6. We will structure our leadership team in a fair and equitable manner by instituting structural leadership changes which will allow for meaningful involvement in decision making by students, teachers, families and the community at large.
  7. We will encourage continuous professional development while providing comprehensive, ongoing professional development programs aligning to county and state mandates along with addressing the needs of our students.
