Edgewood Elementary celebrates good behavior
Principal Jennifer Drumgoole and Assistant Principal Jeanna Gentile of Edgewood Elementary disappeared behind layer after layer of duct tape after students stuck them to the gymnasium wall. This was the reward for a PBIS fundraiser and behavior incentive that ran during the 4th quarter. Students who met the criteria for behavior were invited to an assembly where the grade levels that raised the most money were invited to line up and duct tape their administrators to the wall! Third graders taped Mrs. Drumgoole to the wall, and fourth graders taped Mrs. Gentile to the wall. During the assembly, former Harford County Teacher of the Year Larry Jehnert spoke to the students about what worked well for them this year at EDES and provided them with a great message on self-reflection, celebration of success, and improvement for next school year.

Also at this assembly, two bikes donated by Susan McDonough from Horace Mann were given to two lucky students, including Joseph Nelson, seen in the photo below.  It was a fun assembly for all, and the money raised will fund future PBIS activities and rewards for students of Edgewood Elementary!
