Fallston High Junior wins national award from Youth 4 German Cinema and will walk to the carpet at an international film festival in San Francisco
Congratulations to Liam Arnold, a junior at Fallston High School, for having won a national award from Youth 4 German Cinema!

The Youth 4 German Cinema program is organized by the Goethe-Institut San Francisco’s Language Department, the Berlin & Beyond Film Festival, and the North American youth portal Step Into German.  The program is designed to increase multi-cultural awareness among students and educate them on international film, film criticism, and the filmmaking process, as well as provide an entry point for youth to the cinema world of German-speaking countries.

Liam reviewed a German film and submitted the review to the Goethe Institut for application into the program.  He was one of three winners from the United States selected from a pool of applicants, and he will travel to San Francisco in February to attend a film festival and walk the red carpet with the other winners.  Liam will also get to go behind-the-scenes and participate at the international film festival; meet industry professionals; present the 2018 Youth 4 German Cinema Awards onstage; and engage in insightful filmmaking workshops with industry talents.

Way to go, Liam!
