Bel Air High team nets first place in business plan competition
Amy Wallace, manager, Small Business Technology Development Center (SBTDC) of Northern Maryland, coached this year's Entrepreneur class at Bel Air High School.  Four teams participated in a business plan competition, resulting in two teams being selected to pitch their business ideas to ‘celebrity’ judges. Pam Klahr of the Harford County Chamber of Commerce and Jim Richardson of the Harford County Office of Economic Development were this year’s judges.  The winning team was "Wieners on Wheels," represented by Bel Air Seniors Mike Munley, Conner Bell and Brandon Klepetka.  Their business plan was based on operating a food truck in Washington, D.C.  Ann Tucker led the class and brought in guest lecturers Randy Rippin of RTR Technologies and Denise Carnaggio, also of the Harford County Office of Economic Development, to work with students throughout the school year.
