Dismissal Procedures

To ensure the safety of our students and staff during arrival and dismissal, we ask that you do the following:

§    Keep it Consistent!

Please maintain a consistent arrival and dismissal routine for your child.  Frequently altering the dismissal routine will cause your child great stress and anxiety.  Not maintaining  a consistent routine also raises the probability of him/her being sent home the incorrect route.  If a change of dismissal is required, please submit the change in writing to the teacher.  Without prior written notice, all students will proceed home in the normal manner.

§  Adhere to the Fire Lane!

Cars will not be able to park along the fire lane on Derringer Drive.  Please park safely on the opposite side of the street or before or after the designated area.  Don’t worry a staff member will be outside to help our children cross the street safely.

 §  Buckle Up!

Make sure your child is buckled tight in the back seat of the vehicle.  Maryland law suggests that front seat riders be 12 years or older weighing at least 100 lbs.

As always, we thank you for your anticipated cooperation as we work together to provide a safe arrival and dismissal for all of our students and staff!
