Clerical applicants are required to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel programs via a computer-based assessment prior to sitting for an interview; Human Resources will schedule the computer-based exercise for candidates who are selected for an interview. Candidates will be given one opportunity to complete the computer-based clerical exercise which consists of a 30 minute Word and 30 minute Excel exercise. *UPDATE TO TESTING PROCEDURE* Candidate scores will remain active until the testing material is updated. Once testing materials are updated, candidates that have previously passed the clerical test will be required to re-take the test.

Home and Hospital Teachers Needed

Applications are accepted and reviewed year-round for potential openings.

Harford County residents are being sought as applicants for non-contracted home & hospital teaching positions. Assignments involve working individually with students who are temporarily unable to attend school due to a physical or emotional condition. Instructional services are typically provided at the student’s residence or in a hospital or treatment center setting. Reimbursement is provided on an hourly basis ($19.67 - $21.07), depending on previous teaching experience, plus mileage. No additional benefits are provided. Minimal requirements include verification of a bachelor’s degree from an institution of higher education, favorable references, a successful criminal background investigation, and Harford County residency.
