Food in the Classroom:  Due to the increasing number of students with peanut and nut allergies, all food brought into the classrooms, including snacks,
must be peanut and nut free.  Food that will be eaten by all students in the class, must be store bought, with all ingredients listed.

February 8th-11th, 2010 = Jump rope For Heart ---thank you for allowing your child to do his/her part to save a heart!
Permission slips are due February 1^st.
Pledge money is due February 5^th. 
Make checks payable to the American Heart Association

May 19^th, 2010 = Field day (rain date is May 21^st)---A patriotic theme is being planned for this year.   I hope you will be able to see you child celebrate this special event or perhaps you may be willing to serve as a volunteer.  Last year we had over 100 energetic parent volunteers!  Information comes out mid April.

Friendly reminder:  Please be mindful of the day your child is scheduled for physical education.  Often the winter weather requires the need for boots; however, your child cannot participate actively in the lesson without compliance of the dress code.  Tennis shoes with a flat sole and attached back must be worn---no flat rubber sole casual shoes are permitted.  In addition, all jewelry must be removed with the exception of post stud earrings.  Jewelry removal is the responsibility of the student.  Dresses and skirts are not functional for physical education activities.  Thank you for your cooperation!
