Dear Darlington Families,
Thank you for your support at Back to School Night and our
first PTA meeting. It was wonderful to see so many familiar
faces and meet our new families. Thank you for your support
with our Membership Drive and with the Yankee Candle
Fundraiser! We are excited about the many events happening
in the next few weeks.
Membership Drive-
Membership is $5.00 per family member. Becoming a PTA member
gives you a voting voice as well as discounts to stores and
other events. Please see Amy Garrison if you are interested
in becoming a member of the PTA!
October PTA Meeting-
We will meet on Wednesday, October 1 in the Media Center at
7:00. Everyone is welcome to attend!
Darlington Apple Festival-
This is scheduled for Saturday, October 4, 2008 from
10:00-5:00. We are looking for volunteers to help with set
up, clean up, and running our events throughout the day. If
you are interested in volunteering, please contact Heather
Skelley at 410-734-7221.
Thank you!
Friendly’s Restaurant Fundraiser-
This will take place at Friendly’s on Main Street in
Bel Air on October 7,2008 from 5-9. We will be selling
raffle tickets for a year supply of ice cream. Tickets are
$1.00 each and all proceeds benefit upcoming events
sponsored by the Darlington Elementary School PTA.
Conference Day Meals-
The PTA will be providing lunch and dinner for teachers on
conference day which is scheduled for Monday, November 3.
More information will be sent home about this soon!
Scholastic Book Fair-
The Scholastic Book Fair will be held in the school library
November 17-21. This event takes lots of volunteers! Please
let us know if you are available to help!
