What does forest management involve?
  • Planting and renewing forest stand
  • Thinning remaining trees
  • Removing undesirable trees
  • Protecting against natural hazards (fire, insects, disease)
  • Harvesting to generate and restore health to the forest stand.
  • Well managed land will have high quality, well spaced trees that are attractive for wildlife and recreation
