Joppatowne High School students use tabletop simulations with emergency preparedness lessons led by the Maryland State Police

The 10th grade students of the Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness signature program at Joppatowne High School simulated responding to a HAZMAT scenario. With the help of Major Phillips of the Maryland State Police, the students assumed the roles of the varied agency directors leading first responders during a hazardous chemical emergency. It was a great active learning experience.
