School Structure:
Fallston High School operates on a four-period day schedule. Students are enrolled in eight classes for the year. Some classes will meet daily for a semester, while other classes meet every other day. This schedule provides longer periods of instruction with fewer class changes.
About our School:
The mission of Fallston High School is the development of knowledge, skills, understandings, abilities, interests, and attitudes in students, which contribute to a productive life. Its commitment is to provide maximum opportunities for educational, social, emotional, and physical growth. Students are recognized as individuals, and they should have the opportunity to discover those traits which make them unique. Exemplary adult role models contribute significantly to this process.
The focus areas of the School Improvement Plan are the maintenance of a safe, positive learning environment for all, the acceleration of student learning and elimination of achievement gaps, and the maintenance of a highly qualified work force. To those ends, Fallston High School has programs in character education, service learning and school safety. We offer 125 courses across the continuum from basic skills to advanced placement in biology, calculus (I & II), chemistry, English, environmental science, European history, government, physics, Spanish, statistics, and United States history. Our faculty, in addition to graduate studies, is actively involved in improving instruction and student achievement through the formation of professional learning communities within the school.
