Greetings from the Teaching and Learning Community at Edgewood Elementary School, home of the Edgewood Eagles! We are committed to academic excellence and enriching the lives of our students using a holistic approach. We do our best to meet the academic, social and emotional learning needs of the students in our school community. We have adopted the motto, “Empowering All to Achieve”, and encourage and promote a shared responsibility for student learning. With over 400 students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through five, we house a diverse community of learners and are proud of the rich environment and services we provide for our children.

We are creating a rigorous learning environment for the students and follow a robust curriculum that embraces the Common Core State Standards delineated by the Department of Education. The students are taught content area subjects, in addition to art, instrumental and general music, media and physical education. Each classroom is equipped with a Smart Board and computers and the school houses two computer labs, a mobile lab and a live TV studio. This allows us to incorporate the latest technology and technological resources. We have adopted school “Norms” to teach and practice with our children that will enable them to be successful in all aspects of school life. These Norms are taught, practiced and implemented by our entire teaching and learning community throughout the school day.  We are the proud eagles and work hard to create a cooperative learning environment where children are heard, valued and required to meet our rigorous learning expectations.

Yours For A Quality Education,
