Welcome to Hall’s Cross Roads Elementary School, a historic landmark in Harford County and the Town of Aberdeen for the past 70 years. Hall’s Cross Roads continues to be the learning hub of the Aberdeen Community. The school community is dedicated to educating and inspiring all to become responsible citizens who learn, lead, and achieve. Supported by a high-quality staff, we draw strength from our diverse community and continue to work together to unite our students, families, and community partners. Our school focus continues to be creating differentiated learning experiences that produce high levels of achievement for all students through the use of the state’s college and career readiness standards.

Title 1 provides supplementary supports and resources to the school for us to provide our students with a full-time math specialist, 2 reading specialists, gifted and talented teacher, technology throughout the building, field trips and assemblies. We are also able to provide research-based interventions to students who need additional support, as well as a variety of research-based professional development opportunities to our highly qualified staff.

Recipients of the Maryland EGATE (Excellence in Gifted and Talented Education) Award, we continue to move ahead at a rapid pace to incorporate high levels of instruction. With innovative scheduling, teachers are given intentional time each day for planning and examining student work. Our work with PBIS (Positive Behavioral in School) combined with research based best practices provides a collaborative approach to learning and developing productive future citizens. Currently, we are partnering with Young Audiences (Arts for Learning Maryland) to improve student achievement through arts integrated teaching. Students are also given extended opportunities to participate in STEM activities and research with CERDEC-APG and Towson University.

Parents and community leaders are welcomed and involved through our Parent Involvement Team to insure all stakeholders are given the opportunity to provide feedback and become active participants in our school improvement process. Parents are encouraged to become active participants in all areas of the school including workshop days/nights, and professional development opportunities. We have an active partnership with Aberdeen Federal Credit Union and the Aberdeen Boys and Girls Club.

We are excited and passionate about offering the best elementary educational programs possible for our students. We want our students to work harder, think bigger, and aim higher. Historical Past and Legendary Future….We are the Hall’s Cross Roads Soaring Eagles!

Soaring for Excellence!
