Dear Parents, Students, and Community Members,
As the new Principal of Hall’s Cross Roads Elementary School, it is an honor to become a member of the Hall’s Cross Roads Elementary community.  During these past few weeks, I have had several interactions with parents, faculty, and students. It is very evident that the Hall’s Cross Roads Elementary community values the education of their children. I look forward to fostering these relationships and working with parents, teachers, students, and the community to ensure a safe and nurturing educational environment.

I have been in the field of education for 21 years and I have seen many changes. I am excited that our children will have access to rigorous instruction and the latest technology that can be used to enhance learning. I have also seen programs and initiatives come and go. However, the factor that will continue to make a difference in educating our children is a highly qualified teacher who uses research-based strategies to reach all children. But, more importantly, it is the partnership between home and school that builds and supports our students throughout their entire academic career.

Please join me as we continue to support our students during this upcoming school year. We encourage parents to take an active role in their children’s education. Throughout the year, we will have Family Involvement Team meetings, parent nights, field trips, and other events to share with our parents. We also encourage parents to remain in close contact with our school staff. Parent conferences take place each fall, however, teachers and parents are encouraged to schedule conferences as needed.

This school year will be filled with fun learning opportunities for our students. I look forward to getting to know each of our students and their families. Thank you for your support!!!

Sincerely,

Ayn C. Ford
