The dedicated staff at William Paca/Old Post Road Elementary School, is committed to building strong relationships to support all students as they achieve academic excellence.  Our location on Philadelphia Road ensures that our students come from a diverse geographic area and mandates that our school vision emphasizes inclusion for all, an appreciation for diversity, and a focus on student achievement.

A variety of program offerings help us to accommodate the diverse learning styles of our students.  Support programs such as Pre-Kindergarten, Gifted and Talented Services, Special Education, outreach programs for School Health Readiness and Villa Marie, facilitate success for the whole child.  Our Title 1 resources provide a Teacher Specialist / Family Liaison, who serves as an additional support between home and school and works with teachers to analyze data to improve instruction, as well as state of the art technology that enhances instruction.  Our Resource Intervention Teachers, Reading Specialists, and the Instructional Facilitator provide ongoing opportunities for professional development and collaborate to plan valuable academic events for families.  Our use of scientific research based intervention programs, such as LLI, Fundations, Wilso, Dream Box, and Do the Math, continue to provide valuable additional practice opportunities in both reading and mathematics.

We welcome and view our parents as partners in their child’s learning. Parents are welcome to volunteer and we encourage them to become active decision makers in our educational process.  Volunteer opportunities include, but are not limited to
, serving on our Family Engagement Team,School Performance and Achievement Team (SPA), and PTA.  If you are interested in serving on any of these teams, please provide your contact information to our Title I Teacher Specialist.

Our SPA Team and the Instructional Leadership Team analyze existing data and research-based best practices to target areas for school-wide improvement.  Our current SPA Plan has identified reading, math, STEM and positive behavior goals as our focus for achieving continuous, ongoing school improvement.

At William Paca/Old Post Road Elementary, we strive to achieve academic excellence every day through our mission:  Invest, Engage, Achieve.

Sincerely,
