The staff at William Paca/Old Post Road Elementary School, works tirelessly to help all students achieve academic excellence.  Our location on Old Philadelphia Road ensures that our students come from a diverse geographic area and mandates that our school vision emphasizes inclusion for all, an appreciation for diversity, and a focus on student achievement.

A variety of program offerings help us to accommodate the diverse learning styles of our students.  Support programs such as Pre-Kindergarten, School-wide Enrichment, Special Education, outreach programs for School Health Readiness and Key Point, facilitates success for the whole child.  The Title 1 resources provide a family liaison, who serves as an additional support between home and school; Title 1 Teacher Specialists work with teachers to analyze data to improve instruction, and state of the art technology that enhances instruction.  Our Teacher Mentor, Reading & Math Specialists, and the Instructional Facilitator provide ongoing opportunities for staff development and assist with academic events for families.  Our use of scientific research based intervention programs, such as I-Station, LLI, Fundations, Wilson, Success Maker, Dream Box, Reflex Math, First in Math, and Do the Math, continue to provide valuable additional practice opportunities in both reading and mathematics.

Therefore, we welcome and view Parents as partners in their child’s learning. Parents are welcome to volunteer and we encourage them to become active decision makers in our educational process.  Volunteer opportunities include, but are not limited to serving on, our Family Advisory Team, School Improvement Team (SIT), and PTA.  If you are interested in serving on any of these teams, please provide your contact information to our Family Liaison.

Our School Improvement Team and the Instructional Leadership Team utilize existing data and research-based best practices to target areas for school-wide improvement.  Our current School Improvement Plan has identified reading, math, and positive behavior goals as our focus for achieving continuous, ongoing school improvement.

At William Paca/Old Post Road Elementary, we strive to achieve academic excellence every day.
