North Harford High School continues to meet the academic, social, and cultural needs of our community. Located in northern Harford County, the school has been serving this agricultural community, which in recent years transitioned to a suburban-like community, for 59 years. The modernization of the building, which was completed in 2007, included a new turf athletic field, new bleachers seating 1600, and a new concession building.

North Harford High School enjoys a rich tradition of academic and cultural excellence and has strengthened and continued increasing the number of academic and extra-curricular offerings to our students. We offer a variety of clubs and organizations to foster student involvement and our athletic program is consistently successful in county and state competition.

The North Harford Professional Learning Community is committed to fostering improved student achievement and a sense of self worth and belonging to our entire school family. Our parent groups include the Parent Teacher Student Association, the Booster Club, Endzone Club, Art Guild Parents, choral parents, band parents, and parent/community advisory group. In addition, parents are very involved in activities such as homecoming, musical activities, and graduation. The school and community are dedicated to being active and involved in the life of our students as we prepare them for life after high school.

North Harford was recognized as a Maryland Center for Character Education School for the 2008-2009 school year by the Maryland Center for Character Education and the Maryland State Department of Education. This teacher-led program involved the entire school in a study of the major traits of character education. This initiative is embedded in our curriculum and activities throughout the school day.
