Ring Factory Elementary School
Where Tomorrow Begins Today
School Structure:
Traditional self-contained classes, along with team teaching and common planning times, are used to best meet the needs of our students.
About our School:
Ring Factory Elementary School is surrounded by 34 acres of trees, fields, and wetlands and is located in a community where school staff and families work together to accomplish our mission to “work together to provide a quality student-based education and treat each other with respect.”
Ring Factory Elementary staff and parents are committed to providing an inviting, supportive, challenging, and fun school environment. An extremely dedicated staff, children who are ready to learn, a very supportive Parent Teacher Association and an outstanding parent volunteer program result in numerous opportunities for our children.
Ring Factory Elementary offers a Student Council, Manna House Partnership, Lorien Assisted Care Partnership, a Patriot Program, Character Counts, Red Fox Players, Destination Imagination, the Fox Festival Choir, School Spirit Days, Jump Rope for Heart, Geography Bee, Academic Fitness Awards, Junior Achievement, and Good News Assemblies.
With excitement and passion for teaching and learning, we expect continued progress and success from all of our students. This expectation has become the standard for our school. Major objectives include continuous improvement in reading and mathematics, student attendance, and character education. Our School-wide Enrichment Model program also provides pull-out and plug-in opportunities for those students that wish to go beyond the required curriculum. Chorus and instrumental music lessons are available to all students in fourth and fifth grades. Support is available to those students when English is the second language.
As our school motto says, Ring Factory Elementary is a place “where tomorrow begins today.”
Community Involvement:
The RFES PTA takes an active role in supporting Character Counts!, the Patriot Program, cultural arts programs, Destination Imagination, and other community events at our school. Volunteers are valuable assets, providing the school with services that are appreciated and needed. RFES' large cadre of dedicated volunteers assist the professional and clerical staff with teaching and non-teaching duties; provide needed services to individual students and groups of students; and work to enrich the experiences of all people at RFES.
Local businesses meet with us to discuss what is needed to provide the best education for our students. It is the hope of the school community to continue to foster the close relationship with the business community.
