School Structure:

MMS academics are arranged around groups of students who are teamed. Students are taught by a cadre of teachers who meet to plan instruction. These teachers work together with students on teams to meet individual learning needs. There are 7 scheduled class periods each day with a weekly rotating schedule.

About our School:
Magnolia Middle School Mascot

Magnolia Middle School is dedicated to providing a challenging and rigorous educational program for all students. Besides the focus on core subjects, students receive a well-rounded experience in art, music, technology education, family and consumer science, and health, as well as taking part in lifelong fitness activities. All students take part in a school-wide program that emphasizes organization, study skills, and character building in classroom instruction and through the use of student planners.

Our school is a place where students from diverse backgrounds want to learn and grow into responsible adults. Students are divided into smaller teams within each grade level where teachers work with the same group of students. This allows teams of teachers to better meet the needs of their students. During “Viking” time students take part in remediation, enrichment, service learning, and other activities to support learning and promote student success and achievement.

Magnolia Middle School is situated on over 69 acres of beautiful grounds and with an Olympic-sized swimming pool. With extensive parks and recreation and community activities scheduled every day of the week throughout the year, Magnolia Middle is truly a community school.

With the commitment of the talented Magnolia Middle staff and with the support of the magnificent Magnolia community, Magnolia Middle School continues to be “The School Where Everybody is Somebody.”

Community Involvment:

MMS is supported by an active PTA that supports the students and staff with a wide variety of student activities such as 8th Grade Day, dances, assemblies, field trips, and many other activities throughout the year. The PTA focuses on increasing parental and community involvement in our school.

The hard work of our volunteers throughout the year demonstrates their commitment to our students. MMS and its ample fields are used extensively by Parks and Recreation and other community groups. In addition, the swimming pool is used by various swim groups and hosts many competitions throughout the year. MMS is used seven days a week, and is truly a community school.
