About our School:
Southampton Middle School Mascot

Southampton Middle School is a professional learning community dedicated to developing and implementing a performance based, student centered model of instruction. Southampton Middle is a fully inclusive environment fortified by student and teacher empowerment, collaboration, interdisciplinary teaming, integrated instruction, block scheduling, innovative grouping practices, and on-site individual and family counseling provided by Upper Bay Counseling & Support Service, Inc. In addition, ROAR (Respect, Obedience, Achievement, and Responsibility) was instituted as our school-wide character education program. These are the mainstays for the academic success that Southampton Middle students enjoy.

The community plays an integral part in the success of Southampton Middle. The Southampton PTO works closely with our staff to enrich our students’ academic experiences by supporting our instructional program with assemblies and field trips. The PTO also works closely with our staff to initiate and support student incentive programs and social activities. Southampton Middle also enjoys a long-standing business partnership with Harco Federal Credit Union. This partnership has been acknowledged both locally and nationally by numerous awards. Harco’s dedication continues to enhance the lives of both students and staff. We take pride in initiating and expanding programming that provides our learning community with optimal opportunities for academic and personal success. We work tirelessly to ensure that life-long learning continues when formal education ends.
