HCPS offers employees both 403b and 457b investment plans through Lincoln Financial Group as a means to defer compensation until retirement. Enrollment in the deferred compensation plans may occur at any time during the year.

Employees may choose to enroll in either or both the 403b and 457b plans. In addition, employees have the option to designate all or a portion of their 403b and/or 457b contribution as either tax-deferred or as an after-tax Roth contribution. In November 2012, three employee meetings were held to introduce the new after-tax 403b and 457b Roth savings options, as well as the enhanced Lincoln Financial website.
