Joppatowne High School Congressional Art Contest Winners

Joppatowne High School art students were recognized at a reception for their award-winning entries in the District 02 United States Congressional Art Show. The Congressional Art Contest included student entries from three Maryland school districts.

The students at Joppatowne High School had a “clean sweep” winning the first, second, and third place awards.

The first place winner, Nicholas Galie, and third place winner, Emma Flannery, are pictured with their families along with Joppatowne High Art Teacher Cynthia Hendrick and U.S. Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger.

The students’ art selections will be on display at selected Congressional buildings in Washington, D.C. throughout this year.
