Seven Harford County Public Schools Seniors Awarded Environmental Scholarships

Seven Harford County Public Schools seniors have been awarded $1,000 scholarships through the Harford Glen Environmental Scholarship Program, supported by local businesses and private donors.

The students visited Harford Glen to receive their scholarship packets and yard signs, sponsored by the Harford Glen Foundation, to display in their neighborhoods. Each recipient plans to pursue an environmentally focused degree at the college or university level.

This year's winners and sponsors:

  • Aberdeen High School Senior Nara Anusonti-Inthra, sponsored by Mr. Wade Sewell

  • Bel Air High School Senior Olivia Fortes, sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. Murray

  • C. Milton Wright High School Senior Natalie Burns, sponsored by Plaza Ford

  • North Harford High School Senior Samantha Hawk, sponsored by Clear Creeks Consulting

  • Edgewood High School Senior Dakota Moore, sponsored by Harford Glen Foundation

  • Fallston High School Senior Anna Newman, sponsored by Harford Glen Foundation

  • Harford Technical High School Senior Nicholas Feitosa Olivia, sponsored by PNC Bank and Foxborough Nursery

Aberdeen High School's Nara Anusonti-Inthra was also named this year's countywide winner, receiving an additional $1,000 scholarship sponsored by the Harford Land Trust and the Woolsey Family Foundation.

The Environmental Scholarship Program was established at the Susquehannock Recycling Center in Bel Air in 1972 and has awarded more than $300,000 in scholarships over the decades.
