Celebrating Our 2025-2026 HCPS Facilities Apprentices

Over the past year, the Harford County Public Schools Facilities Department has had the privilege of working alongside five outstanding student apprentices. These young men have balanced the responsibilities of high school while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the skilled trades. Their dedication, positive attitudes, and willingness to learn have made a lasting impact on the department.

As they begin the next chapter of their journeys, the Facilities Department would like to thank them for their hard work and commitment throughout the school year. The department is proud of all they have accomplished and will certainly miss having them work alongside each day.

Jake
Jake graduated from North Harford High School in May and spent the past year working with the HVAC Department. Throughout his apprenticeship, he demonstrated a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn the trade. Jake has recently joined Local 486 and will continue building his career and expanding his skills through the union apprenticeship program. The Facilities Department wishes him continued success as he begins this next chapter.

Xavier
Xavier also graduated from North Harford High School in May and spent the past year working in the Plumbing Department. His willingness to learn and contribute made him a valued member of the team. Xavier will remain with the Facilities Department throughout the summer while exploring opportunities with local plumbing companies to further pursue his career in the trade.

Caleb
Caleb graduated from Harford Technical High School in May and spent the past year working in both the Electrical Department and Receiving Department. His versatility and dedication allowed him to gain experience in multiple areas of Facilities operations. Caleb has recently accepted a position with BoMark Electric and will begin his new role in the coming weeks. Congratulations to Caleb on this achievement, and best wishes as he continues his electrical career.

Brian
Brian graduated from Bel Air High School in May and spent the past year working in the Plumbing Department. He has been a dependable member of the team and has embraced every opportunity to learn. Brian will continue working with the Facilities Department throughout the summer while pursuing opportunities with local companies to further develop his skills and career in the trades.

Mason
Mason graduated from C. Milton Wright High School in May and spent the past year working with the Grounds and Equipment Department. His hard work and dedication helped support the maintenance and appearance of HCPS school properties. Mason will remain with the Grounds Department throughout the summer and is actively working toward joining the union to continue building a career in the field.

Thank you to Jake, Xavier, Caleb, Brian, and Mason: thank you for your hard work, dedication, and contributions to the Harford County Public Schools Facilities Department. It has been a pleasure watching each of you grow throughout the year. The Facilities Department is proud of your accomplishments and excited to see what the future holds as you continue your journeys in the skilled trades.
