Remote Classroom Technology piloted at Homestead/Wakefield Elementary School

Harford County Public Schools’ Office of Technology and Department of Student Services have collaborated to bring Remote Classroom Technology to some county students. Grant funds provided by the Maryland State Department of Education were used to purchase four robots and iPads that will enable eligible students to access their assigned classrooms in school from their homes using this technology. This will afford students who are otherwise unable to attend school due to medical reasons the opportunity to engage in classroom instruction and interact socially with their peers. This Remote Classroom Technology is currently being piloted at Homestead/Wakefield Elementary School with a Home and Hospital student.
