  • Create your Parent Portal account in the Blackboard Connect5 system to set your communication preferences for school and system-wide messages. View the flier here. If you have already done this, please log in and review your current information to make sure it is correct and up-to-date. Click here for the Parent Portal. Please have you student’s six-digit cafeteria PIN available when signing up and enter when asked for an Identification Code. Contact your student’s school if you need further assistance obtaining your student’s PIN.
  • Make sure your mySchoolBucks.com account is updated and funded. The money deposited into this account can be used for school meals and participation fees. Click here for more information regarding Participation fees.
  • View the 2018-19 Parent-Student Handbook Calendar online at www.hcps.org. There is also an importable version, compatible with most email accounts. Please note: June 17-21, 2019 must be designated on the HCPS 2018-2019 school calendar as days on which schools could be open for students if the number of days needed for inclement weather closings surpasses the five built into the calendar. Legislation passed by the General Assembly notes that school systems are to build in up to five days past the June 15 mandated closing date to be used in the event of excessive inclement weather. The 5 additional days must be utilized prior to requesting a waiver from MSDE.
  • On or after August 13, 2018, bookmark the Home Access Center page so your child's grades are just a click away.
  • Attend your school's Back to School Night. Scroll down for the schedule or click here.
  • Find your school supply list below and on Official School Website.
  • Fill out a meal benefit application, if needed. The form can be downloaded here.
  • Complete any necessary medication-related documents, along with other important forms you may need.
